Hi,
I have a big model and I want to know how to set the rotation center for the model in the GUI. I found an option in Tools > Options > Mechanical > Graphics > Rotation center, and chose "Click to set" and accidentally somehow set the rotation center but I want to change it and I don't know how. I also saw a red sphere at the rotation point that has disappeared now. Any help please? |

In case if anyone troubled with this problem stumbles across this post, if you put the cursor in "Rotation" mode and click on any point in the model, then it becomes rotation point and is highlighted by a red sphere.

gcoopermax, I have not found this to be true. Is there a setting to switch?

Sorry, you are correct. The subtlety is that you must first click and release, then click and hold to rotate. this may confuse people who are used to certain CAD packages where the center is set after clicking and holding before you rotate
