Unlink number of nodes in deleted block

Hey guys, I am trying to mesh a domain around an airfoil in ICEM CFD 17.0 with C-Grid. I created the O-Grid and everything seems nice, except for the inner block of the O-Grid block I created to surround the airfoil. The left edge of the inner block is associated with the leading edge, the upper with the suction surface, the lower with the pressure surface and the right one with the trailing edge.
My question is if I can "unlink" the number of nodes between the left and the right edges of the inner block of the O-Grid, as the length of the two curves are not at all equal. I am attaching screenshots of what I mean. Thanks in advance! https://prnt.sc/lwncjl |

Hi Christos,
in the menu to delete blocks, you'll find the checkbox "delete permanently". If you don't active it, blocks will not be deleted but moved to the part VORFN. That allows to keep relationships between edges and blocks in the way you have experienced. If this behavior is not wanted then you have to delete a block permanently. This will remove the structure link. You might also notice, that blocks in VORFN mainly became an o-grid instead of additional layers. In few cases this can be the source of issues in tight angle structures. best regards, Sebastian |
