Hello everyone, very need help how to reduce the number of element in Ansys Meshing. First I used curvature size function and set quality to coarse, everything I choose default, after generated mesh, I got about 27 milions elements. Second, same as above except that I used proximity and it gives me 37 milions elements.

is there any way or setting to reduce my meshing element ? Because with 27 millions element I'm afraid that my college computer can run it (its specification are i7 7700k, 32 gb RAM, Nvidia GTX 1080). I hope that the elements can reduced to 15 miillions.

I'm sorry almost forgot. My model is shell and tube heat exchanger which consist of tube fluid domain, shell fluid domain, and tube (tube is solid). Specification are 92 tube with length 1,86m, 13 segmental baffle 27% cut, shell inside diameter 0,205 m. Here is my stp file : https://drive.google.com/file/d/12ME...ew?usp=sharing

Thank you very much

try to use symmetry and also try to give finer mesh only near walls giving inflation to set y plus in 30 range and giving aspect ratio of 650 .. this will reduce elements .. dont go for smaller y plus and lesser aspect ratio initially
