Long time since I last posted as I haven't been doing much CFD! But now need to get back into it.
I'm trying to run a vehicle in fluent. Using the Workbench I've imported the model into DM and created the domain, which has a yellow tick. Checking the error I get: "At least one of the imported/attached/converted bodies could not be validated" Anyone has any literature or know what the likely issues might be? Basically the vehicle is exported as a solid from NX as a step file. |

Hi Joao,
Welcome back to CFD This can usually happen if the geometry is not "clean" upon import, for instance if there is a small gap between two adjacent faces. You could change some of the import options like the Heal bodies / Stitch surfaces / Clean bodies and look at the output. If I remember correctly there is a direct plugin reader for NX geometries. You have to check if the license allows it and then you need to configure the "CAD configuration manager" for Ansys. Have fun |
