Hello Everyone,

I was hoping to find out some more information on how the 'Resolve Refinements' setting actually works.

I see it creates another layer of square elements, then C-grid and Y-grid-looking elements around that layer on the outer boundary of the refined section.

Curiously, my skew is still reported as 1, min angle is still 90 deg. and is orthogonal. I also use the scan planes option and see that it only creates these 'spider-web' looking elements on the surfaces of the domain (bottom and top surface).

So, physically, what does resolve refinements do? I know it ensures the connectivity of nodes is 1 to 1, but does it recruit different types of elements? Does it propagate throughout the domain (contrary to what I see in the scan plane)?
