hi everybody,
I want to import 2 meshes differently at the same time into one case. Is there any special option to do this? |

you have to put these meshes into the fluent installation directory where utility Tmerge exists, then use Tmerge to combine these two meshes as a single case.

hi, so in the folder (tmerge) there is ntx86 and in it there are two folders more: tm2d1214 and tm3d1214.exe, so will I put the mesh files here? and what about then, how will I merge them?

by the way, I'm working on a cluster by remote connection and It's linux, there is no posibility to do this in my own computer because the mesh is very big. So, how can I do this in linux?

Well you can put your mesh onto the remote linux station to tmerge the meshes. Just look it up in the help document. On windows platform you just double click the tmeger3d.exe or tmerger2d.exe, depenging on whether your meshes are 2d or 3d, then you will be asked to imput the names of the meshes and the name of the new combined mesh etc.Quite easy. On linux platform I think it's almost the same. Good luck.

hi,
I have just found the tmerge in linux, coppied it to the directory where two meshes are. so, when I run the exe, it asks me the name of the grid file and I can only enter one of the name of this file, and then it asks the scale, I enter here 1,1,1 but and then, it asks translation, rotation, what must I do here? If I don't enter anything It waits for an answer. what should I do? must I enter 0 for translation and rotation? thanks |
