Hello everyone,
I have a .dat file with the coordinate points for a NACA4412 airfoil. I want to build the geometry, mesh it and analyze it with Fluent. However my first issue is that I cannot import the 500 or so coordinate points into Workbench Design Modeler. I keep looking online and I cannot find a direct answer to my question. Is it possible to import a .dat file into the DesignModeler so I can create the airfoil geometry? Short of that what do I need to do to import the coordinate points into the client? Can you give me any advice please? Thank you. P.S. I figured it out, turns out it is quite easy. Select Point, Coordinate File, and make sure the coordinates are in a .txt file following the format: Group Number Id Number X coord. Y coord. Z coord. 1 1 1 2 3 1 2 2 3 4 1 3 2 1 4 etc... The help feature actually did help this time. Last edited by Amerikaneca; October 22, 2010 at 12:38. |
