Nielsss is on a distinguished road
Hello,

For our master thesis, we are modelling an offshore windturbine (on a monopile foundation).

A first step was to make a the geometry in DesignModeler: this is done using PIPE elements. The piece of the monopile which is located under the mudline, is modeled using command snippets.

The second step was to perform a modal analysis, which also worked out fine.

Now we are trying to perform a hydrodynamic time response (with Jonswap wave forms); but we have no idea how to start doing this. I do know we've got to do something with the AQWA module..

Can anyone help us getting started on this?

We're using Ansys V14.

Thanks in advance
