I am trying to simulate the ‘crimping’ of a certain geometry which can be considered as an elementary part of a cardiac stent. The geometry is basically a ring with a uniform cross section – the outer surface of this geometry falls on the surface of a cylinder. I am applying the load as a pressure on the outer surface. What I expect is the entire ring to be compressed / ‘crimped’ to a smaller radius due to the external pressure. But when I run the simulation, the entire geometry seems to translate and move sideways. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

hi, i'm trying to do the same simulation on the same type of stent, does it bother you to send me your project ? it's for a university project.
