Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there's a better way than dealing with that stupid (excuse my words) "Face Split" option in the Design Modeler. I'm really frustrated with DM in general, which is why I now import geometries from SolidWorks. However, in order to apply my boundary conditions I'm forced to use the Face Split. Is there a better way to split surfaces than that tool/modeler in general? Can I somehow import a part with already split faces (on a solid body)? I also have access to other CAD tools in case SolidWorks doesn't work, but I really want to avoid any more frustration. All I want is to split a body as shown in the attached image, without having to create thousands of individual planes, geometries, face splits, etc.

Thank you so much (and apologies again for my English).

Hi,

I would prefer to extrude the face for thousand times rather than create a plane and slice the geometry.

I would also like to know how others deal with this problem.

Thanks.
