I am trying to make a 'propeller blade shape optimization'. My optimizer is a Matlab code that takes the objective function (blade efficiency) and give the design parameters (blade geometry), whereas the simulator is Ansys Fluent which needs the design parameters (blade geometry) to perform the simulation and results in the objective function.
My problem is how to automate this cycle? I made an initial simulation on Fluent, so now I have an Ansys project system(Geometry,Mesh,Setup,Solution,Results and parameters). I need a Matlab command to open this project, update the parameters(geometry), hence update the project, and deliver the output(force, torque=>efficincy) back to Matlab. Any help will be greatly appreciated ![]() |

Hello everyone,
I am trying to make a 'propeller blade shape optimization' for my master degree. My problem is how to automate the optimization between Matlab and Ansys? I made an initial simulation on Fluent, so now I have an Ansys project system(Geometry,Mesh,Setup,Solution,Results and parameters). I need a Matlab command to open this project, update the parameters(geometry), hence update the project, and deliver the output back to Matlab. Any help will be appreciated. ![]() |
