The attached circuit was exported as a .sph file then uploaded as an external circuit to a Switched Reluctance Motor in Maxwell. The circuit runs on a 170 v constant voltage source. The six windings receive current when the switches close. The switches is set to a full second delay before closing. No current should run through the motor during that second, however, the transient current plot on Maxwell shows the current pulsing through the windings at a value of around 40 amps during that second.
The SRM has no magnets, changing flux, or initial currents/voltages. There should not be current running through the motor. Is the circuit set up/imported correctly? Thank you for your help! |
