Hi all,
for my 3rd year project i am doing a study on micro CT of honeycomb composites and the visualisation of compression deformation. I have been spending quite a long time trying to work out how to use ansys to replicate the crusing deformation of hte honeycomb, but i am struggleing. Has anyone done something similar? I have the Ansys student liscence to am very limited to the number of elements. What codes do i use? ansys mechanical goes crazy when i used static structural, eigen value buckling doensnt produce usable results. any suggestions? also i want to do the same thing but with foam. Idealy i want to replicate the force/extention data i obtained through experimental means. I am new to the whole fea thing so as much help is needed as poss! cheers all tom |
