Mistreaver is on a distinguished road
Hello everyone!

I am really new to Maxwell and I have possibly very beginner like question.
I am doing the steady state analysis of the synchronous machine using RMxprt and Maxwell.
I entered the machine data into RMxprt and exported the design into Maxwell.
I wanted to verify the RMxprt results by doing FEM analysis in Maxwell.
However, since RMxprt exports the design ready for the transient analysis, something strange happens when i switch the solution type to magnetostatic analysis.
I think something is wrong with the boundaries, and I am not certain how to solve it.
This is the result I get while using the RMxprt defined boundaries.

It is clearly incorrect on many levels.

As you can see, Maxwell defined Vector potential = 0 on the outer diameter of the stator, and the Master - Slave boundaires at the edge of the half of the generator.

I have read that I should define symmetry even/odd boundaries at the point where stator/rotor intersect with the air gap, but I haven't been able to do so properly and get any reasonable result.

If someone can explain me simply how the boundaries for the synchronous machine look like, I would be very very thankful.
