Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding Turbogrid Version 18. I want to make an inducer mesh with blades that revolve 360 degrees around the hub. There is a very small tip gap with a constant span of 0.995. Turbogrid can't resolve the tip mesh and I get the error that "my mesh is too coarse". I checked all my meshing parameters and I think the parameters are fine enough. However when I try to resolve a tip clearance with a constant span of 0.975 it works very good. So my question is: Does Turbogrid have a limit of how small a tip clearance can be to actually resolve the tip mesh? Thank you all very much! |

If anyone is interested... i figured it out. When you want a very fine tip mesh, you have to uncheck the marker of "target maximum expansion rate" in "mesh data" in the side bar.
Also in "mesh data" in subtab "shroud tip" --> Method: match expansion at blade tip. |
