Hello,

I have a question. I wrote an Expression massFlowAve(Pressure)@Inlet in CFX-Pre. How can I monitor this Expression during the solving process?

Thank you very much for your answer.

Best Regards

Open the CFX Solver-Manager tool. If your simulation is still runing use the 2nd of the buttons in the toolbar to monitor a run in progress. Navigate to your simulation folder (where the file "mon" is located in) select the folder and hit open. Then u can see everything just like for a concluded run. The solver manager even updates the data while it is written from the CFX solver itself.

Thank you for your answer. I don't know exactly what you mean. During the Run I see this window. Now I don't want to see the Graphs of the Residuals, I want to see the graph of my Expression during the run. How can I moitor it?

Normally, there is a tab called "User Points" next to the "Wall and Boundary Scale" one. If its not there, in the top menu go to "Monitor" -> "User Points" and hit it. Then the tab should be visible.
Per default, it will show all the monitor points you have. By making a right click anywhere in the plot region you can change the Monitor Properties like which line(s) you see and the axes.

When I click on Monitor, I don't have "User Points"? Is this not part of the Student Version? I hardly believe that.

AFAIK the student version is identical to the commercial version but has a limit of 500k mesh nodes.

Can you make a right-mouse button click next to the boundary and wall scale tab and "create monitor"?
