Hi

Happy New Year!!

I am planning to perform an analysis of a process called vibratory finishing: where media (solid stainless steel balls-10000's of them) moves around in a tumbler that vibrates in the x,y, and z-axis. The process is called vibratory finishing. Link below.

The only difference in my process is I will clamp the part onto the machine instead of allowing it to freely rotate (meaning the tumbler and the aerospace part vibrates with the same frequency).

My main aim is to check the acceleration (in x,y, and z) of the aerospace part while vibrating.

Could you guys be kind to let me know if this is something possible with fluent? If yes could you let me know how to model the 10000 of particles and how to get an acceleration of the aerospace part as the output?

Hope to hear an answer. thanks very much in advance.
