Hi guys,
I just bought a desktop with 6 core( intel i-970). I was trying to launch parallel fluent yesterday, but it seems that I can only use up to 4 cores. Fluent gives me some kind of license error if I parallel more than 4 cores. Has anyone encountered this before? Btw, the OS Im using i Win7 and fluent version is 12.0. Thanks!!! |

In order to use more than four cores you must have access to HPC licences. These come in many forms, so you may already have access to some on another server internally.
I'd advise that you contact either your internal support team or a representative from ANSYS. |
