Dear all
I am a student of the University of Mauritius and currently doing my final year project (FYP) on wind turbine simulation (submission date is due on 30th March 2012).
I am trying to simulate the flow across a simple 3-bladed horizontal axis wind turbine to determine the torque produced. I intend to use the Multiple Rotating Frame.
Refer to the pictures uploaded for the BCs.
I have not named the boundaries of the secondary domain as FLUENT already assigns them as "wall". However, I cannot change them as "interior" as instructed by the tutorial on MRF.
Can anyone please help me out. I really need to perfomr at least 6 simulations by the end of this week.
Any help will be mostly appreciated.
Thanks
P.S. My email address is gualinor@live.com feel free to mail me any information you think will be of some help. Thanks

hi dear
i,m simulating a wind turbine such as what you did but my geometry does not include tower(only hub and 3 blades)
would you plz help me by setting boundary condition???
i had set MRF just for fluid near wind turbine and the other zones as stationary
velocity inlet 11m/s
pressure outlet 0 gauge
2 interfaces
are they correct????
