Hi everybody,
I have a question about conducing a simulation using symmetry boundary condition. You can see my domain in Image. It is an aluminium plate with a set of two PCB, each one with three leds (1W each). These solids are inside a sphere of variable air to account for a climatic cell (not shown). The model is in this way symmetrical, so I halved it as you can see in Image1. My idea was to apply the boundary of symmetry to the face of the plate highlighted in Image2 and to the face of the hemisphere (not shown). The fact is that I don't know the manner to tell the software that we have one more PCB with three leds on the symmetrical side. Question 1) Is it possible somehow? Maybe not. In this case I will switch to a plate with only one set Of PCB and 3 LEDS placed exactly in the center of the plate. This domain would be symmetrical for sure. Question 2) I accounted for laminar flow. Is it correct? What about the number and dimension of Prism layers at wall? Thanks a lot Last edited by ecto; October 20, 2015 at 10:32. |
