Default boundary cell is undetected

hi all..I have some question on STAR CD, i.e:

1. Boundary is not found after I check using "Check Everything"

2. I have tried to change the treatment in inlet cell and also cell wall thickness to specify y+ in the range of 30 and 60 (For turbulence k-e model/high Re number), however, I always failed. I have obtained y+ less then unity

So..anybody can tell me about these problems??

Hi,

Surely it's a case of an unattached Boundary in your model. Check your boundary with:

put your boundary region in a set by doing (replace XX with the problem region number)

bset news regi XX cset news bset cplot

if you see no fluid cells, then you must re-define your boundary region. If you do see fluid cells and still have the same output message, then there must be a double defined boundary region.

The safest way is to delete it by doing following:

bset news regi XX bdel bset

This operation will not harm your boundary setting on that particular region. Just put the cells back where you'd like the boundary to be placed on.

Good luck!
