MHS78 is on a distinguished road
I'd like someone to help me simulating a shock tube problem in Ansys fluent.Actually,I developed code in Matlab for 1D shock tube problem .Now I wish to perform simulation in Ansys fluent. Can you please guide me through this?
I need 1D simulation.How can I simulate 1D problems in Ansys fluent?
Shock tube is a tube of two regions containing fluids with different properties are separated by means of a diaphragm. The diaphragm will be removed instantaneously and so fluid with higher pressure will move to the lower pressure region and thus creating a shock wave to the front.
First of all,What about the geometry? How can I draw a rectangular surface with a diaphragm at the middle.
Secondly,What about the boundary condition or how can I set up the fact of instantaneous removing of diaphragm?

By the way,If someone had already done that,I'd thankful if .wbpj/.wbpz of that can be sent to my email.

P.S:Frequent users or experts in fluent need only couple of minutes to solve my case.I'd appreciate your help.
