Hello,
I am attempting to perform a cold-hot analysis of a centrifugal impeller. To do so, I need to map the near wall fluid temperature from a cfx solution onto my mechanical model. I am following the CFD-Post user guide section 8.10, which says to select the nodes (in APDL) of the surface I want to map on to and to write them to a cdb file using the cdwrite command in APDL. After doing this, when I try to load the cdb file into CFD-Post, I get the following error: "ANSYS CDB Mesh File does not define any valid element types. File cannot be loaded". Has anyone ever experienced this before? And do you have any recommendations for how to proceed? Thanks, William |

Have you done the tutorial examples for FSI models? That would eb the place to start to understand the basics.

Thanks for the response. I did follow the FSI tutorial, however the APDL commands given did not work for me. I was able to apply the temperature and pressure loads through workbench, so I am going to just do that for now. I'll update the thread if I find a solution to my original issue though.
Best, William |
