Cfx for casting analysis, can we analyze the particle distribution of metals used( like Al and silica)

CFX can take particles with a lagrangian approach, or you can use a eularian approach and track it there as well.
But not CFX does not have a solidification model. So CFX would be good for the molten metal, but not much good for the solidification stuff. |

It depends on what physics is important. If you want to model the solidification directly then I would not recommend CFX. But CFX has models for just about everything else which is happening.
