getting weird flows being shown at the interface of a transient rotor stator

Hi,

Quicky summary: thick fluid, 1000rpm rotors, transient rotor stator. Fluid is stationary

There seem to be weird flows being shown at the interface. The streamlines are for the fluid domain, starting from a plane.

Just checking if this is correct and expected behaviour for a transient rotor stator? What have I done wrong?

I think you have the same problem as i do. The thing is that You have two domains a rotating and a stationary. When the fluid goes from the stationary into the rotating it changes referential frame and makes it appear to move differently.

Simulate the same thing with the same domains without that cross in it and you find out what i mean. Or Watch this post theres the same problem: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...g-domains.html

oh, so is this wrong? I'm not sure if this is normal behaviour. I cant seem to find a reference anywhere.
