Multiphase Modelling and Mesh Size

Dear all,
I am trying to model foam injection into a vein through a niddle (please see the attached image). Foam is a mixture of liquid and air, and as the result of injection, some bubbles are released into the vein. I want to model the foam as a two-phase fluid and capture the bubble behaviour within the vein. The size of bubbles is 0.02 [mm] and the length of vein is 10 [cm]. As far as I know, the size of mesh should be at least equal to the size of the bubble in order to be able to model the bubbles interaction with the flow. If this is the case, then the required mesh should be around one billion which is not possible to create in ANSYS. Does anybody know how to solve this problem. Thanks |
