hi guys
I have a problem that I have not found any answer for it.
I am simulating a continuous extraction column with these conditions:
height=4 m
diameter= 5 cm
continuous phase is water and enters from top of the column and exit from the bottom of it. dispersed phase is oil and enters from bottom of the column and exit from the top.
after ending, pressure contour shows higher pressure at the top of the column than the bottom that is opposite of the static pressure principle. but oil and water vectors is true.
my boundary condition is:
1- water inlet from top=velocity
2- oil inlet from bottom=velocity
3-oil outlet from top= opening
4-water outlet from bottom= opening
5-outlet relative pressure= 0 atm
does anyone know reason why pressure contour is inverted?
thank you.

You mean Relative or Absolute pressure?

the pressure value in bottom of column is less than tops for both relative and absolute pressure.
