I am pretty new to the field CFX and User Fortran. Can you please explain which softwares I need to install on my computer to compile an User Fortran.

If I have understood correctly I have to install firstlyfrom the Visual Studio Express the C++ (actual Version?!) and then the Intel Fortran (Again actual version works fine??)

Thank you very in advance!! :-)

I was about to say this is all explained in the CFX documentation. After a quick look I could not find it - the CFX installation manual is a link to webpage which is a dead link. I have an old version of CFX installed at home so I guess that is why the link is dead.

This is explained in the installation guide but you might have troubles finding the installation guide if my experience is anything to go by. If you cannot find it then you will have to go to the ANSYS Customer page to get a copy of the installation guide.

thank you very much for you answer. I couldn't find any information at the Solver Guide (where the chapter User Fortran is included) about the installation process. That is why I opened the topic. Just a hint i am trying to avoid opening threads at this forum for simple questions!

It is not in the solver guide, it is in the installation manual. Depending on what version of CFX you have this manual might be located separately from the other documentation.

Hi,
Working through tutorial 19, I have a problem. Asking Google and searching through the forum, I've tried a lot of things but still can't compile the example-sorce code TStat_Control.F. I'm working on a win7 64bit machine with ANSYS 15. The Visual Fortran Compiler XE 12.0 is installed.

Processing the command

! system ("cfx5mkext TStat_Control.F") == 0 or die "cfx5mkext failed";

in Command Editor gives me the error:

ERROR
CCL parser failed with message:
Perl Syntax errors detected:
cfx5mkext failed at (eval 548) line 1.

Do I have to add any "enviroment variables" ? If yes, where and how?

Do I have to make any changes in cfx5mkext.ccl?

Please, can anyone help me? I'm dealing with this problem for days now.

Best Regards,
Emil
