hello
I have doing simulation of sloshing in rectangle tank, and it has simulated, now my question is when fluid inside the accelerated tank the fluid hits the tank wall, can I found the force on tank wall if it is fluid structure interaction how can I couple this both, help me thanks |

as Force = Pressure*area
You are able to transfere Pressure contour to structural via simple one way coupling. Yust drag the static structural on to CFX. inside structural new tab will apear that lets you import pressure contour, this will be your boundary condition. this will work only for one timestep or steady state. If you want to know the walue for force that is created by the fluid you can measure it in cfxpost; Force_x@location will give you the force in x direction on surface that you want ((fluid side) as it is integrated from fluid pressure on the wals and wiscous forces). |
