Hello guys,

Please, anyone can tell me how cfx calculate the convective heat transfer coefficient h(W/m2-K) in the case of adiabatic wall cooling by air ? In the tutorial they said that it can be calculated by this equation h=q/(T0-Tw), T0= flow temperature , Tw = Wall temperature. so how cfx can calculate q ?

Thank you.

Info on this is in the FAQ.

But for an adiabatic wall, the equation becomes 0/0, so there should be no heat transfer coefficient?

Thank you Evcelica for your answer, but i wanna know which equation cfx use to calculate q (heat flux) if h=q(To-Tw) ?

Sorry, but I don't know what you mean.
Wall Heat Flux would be (heat flow normal to wall) / (cell area)
For adiabatic it should be 0 / area = 0.
