ANSYS CFX Multiphase simulations

Dear all,

I'm a new user of ANSYS CFX, and I would like to simulate the resuspension of dust inside a tank during an ingress of air.

Does anyone know if it is possible to start with dust initially deposited on a wall?? Seems that is possible only to inject them.

CFX does not have a model that I am aware of to model dust sticking to the wall and getting blown off. But you could develop one as CFX is quite flexible in allowing your own models. Which brings us to some important points - why does your dust stick to the wall? What makes it stick? The air flow velocity is zero at the wall from the no slip condition, so how does the air flow remove the dust? You will need to know the answers to these questions if you are going to model it.
