Hi! I am trying to perform CFD analysis of a solar receiver power by concentrated solar power. Usually the focal spot of the receiver has a gaussian behaviour for what concern spatial distribuition of the radiation. my question is:
is it possible to insert a non constant, still directional, radiation source?

Opaque will become famous soon enough
Create a CEL expression as a function of the xyz coordinates over the surface of the collector.

For example,

Radiation Flux = 100 [W m^-2] * ( x / 1 [m])

If you plot it, it would be a straight line from the origin to the end of the egde (assuming aligned with the x axis)

Please search for CEL in the documentation, and read the tutorials/examples.
