Hello everybody! Could anyone please tell me the difference between "multicomponent" and "homogeneous multiphase" since they all share a same flow field. Thanks a lot in advance.

Multicomponent flow consists of a single fluid made up of two or more components mixed at the microscopic level, so you can never have an interface between components but you can have sources/sinks of components.

Homogeneous multiphase flow consists of more than one fluid and an interface can be modelled - the best example being free surface flow. The fluids are not mixed at the microscopic level. You can combine this to have multicomponent homogeneous multiphase flow if you want - so each fluid in the multiphase simualtion could be made up of more than one component. Hope this helps Mike
