Hi everyone,

I know this is a common problem here, but I haven't been able to see a solution for this in the forum.
I'm getting a non-existent Partitioner executable error when running simulations in parallel, it happens both when I try to run it distributed (in cluster) or even local, but serial works fine. I'm using Ansys 15.0 and have a license.

Check that your installation is complete and the paths have not been mucked up. Maybe remove ANSYS and re-install it. Also, if you run old versions of ANSYS on new OS then weird things can happen - it might be time to consider upgrading to the current version.

Did you try both Intel and Platform MPI?

Hello ghorrocks and Christophe, thanks for your replies.
I’ve already tried to reinstall the software a few times, I’ve even formatted the computer. And yes, I’ve tried all parallel options, the only one that works fine is serial.

You can be sure it installs correctly and works for time for just about everybody. So if that is not working then there is something unusual with your setup. You are going to have hunt around to find it.

I've had parallel problems on old versions of ANSYS, similar to v15/16. This was caused by certain lines of code in the startmethods.ccl file, which I ended up deleting. CFX would freeze up at the solution part and not the partitioner like yours is.

Yeah, I'd go to v18.2 and see if that helps. And then tech support may be willing to help if you're up to date.
