Hi guys;
I want to simulate a simple shell and tube heat exchanger. When I run it I get this error: The solver failed with a non-zero exit code of: 2. The problem is in the set-up part with choosing the right interfaces. I've tried lots of ways but didn't work. Can anyone help? I don't know how to do the right set-up.
If it is possible, give me your e.mail address and I'll send you the file.
Many Thanks

Have you done the tutorial examples? They show how to set up interfaces.

I don't have time to debug people's simulation, so I will not be able to look at your model directly. Just post your questions on the forum and we will do our best to help.

Thanks for the reply.....I've done some tutorials having interfaces, but still it has error.

I've tried so many ways for getting interfaces. But, guess problem lies somewhere else.

The error messages you attach say clearly what the error is. The message "Message: all verticies for a fluid domain ....... significant solution error." says exactly what the problem is and what you need to do to fix it.

In future please make sure you attach full error texts. Attaching the output file is preferred.

Thank you so much. After so many try and error, finally the run has started. however, I don't know how to make sure the set-up is totally correct to rely on the results.

Getting reliable results from CFD is a complex topic in itself.

You want to avoid these problems: FAQ https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansy..._inaccurate.3F

Here's a guide for what some journals require CFD results to ensure reliable results: https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansy...publishable.3F

Thanks for all your help.....I think comparing results with scientific papers is a good way for checking them.
