Dear all,

I was wondering if solution at different iterations of a steady state simulation has any physical meaning?

I am running a steady state simulation (auto timescale); writing back-up outputs at every 50 iterations. Since CFX solves the steady state simulations in a pseudo-transient way, I was expecting that solution at different iterations are like transient trn files in the transient simulations and I can somehow realise how physics of my domain changes with time.

But I think I am wrong, since the solution is not reliable before it converged and thus the interim back-ups when the solution is not converged does not say anything about evolution of the flow with time, and the only reliable solution is the one I get in the end after convergence.

I would appreciate if anybody can advise on this.

Many thanks
