I am trying to create an expression to monitor in CFX Pre that references a User Location (plane) created in pre. However, when I try to write the expression, it tells me that the name of my User Plane is unrecognized.. Is there some way to monitor the heat flux of the plane I created? Does pre support referencing the User Locations for monitors?

As far as i know, cfx post can´t recognize any plane, axis, coordinate frame, etc created neither on pre nor on the geometry module. Seems like you have to figure out a way to create on cfx post that same plane again with the cfx post tools. The point and normal option has been very useful in my experience...

In CFX-Pre you can only use physics locators or mesh locators in monitors. A physics locator is a mesh locator on which physics have been defined like inlet, wall, etc.
So it can be anything, as long as it has been created in the mesher. It can also be an interface in the middle of your mesh. But this interface has to be defined beforehand, in your mesher. |
