I have a transient case in Fluent for which I use "data sampling statistics" but when I open the case in CFD post, I cannot see the time.averaged variables. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?/What button am I missing?

This is the CFX-forum. I guess you'll have more success to get an answer in the fluent forum.

Nevertheless, I know the "Run Calculation" menu in fluent, has a button called "Data File Quantities" where you have control of what is saved to file. Don't you have to tell fluent to save those data.
Alternatively, In Post, some variables are more or less hidden since they are grouped. These groups are visible in the top of the list of variables that appears when you click on the button with the three "..."

Hope this helps.

Hi Gert-Jan. I have already saved the data as you say in Fluent but no Transient.Variables appears in CFDPost. I can however see that there are different time-steps in the solution if i click on the little "clock" icon. It's strange, don't you think?

I have no experience at all with transient fluent files in Post. Neither with Time averaged data. I refer to the Fluent forum.

I have the same problem, need to post process time sampling statistics and CFD Post doesnt show them... Could you solve it??

The reason you might have different time steps in the clock button is because CFD Post loaded all the .dat files related to your case. Each .dat is different time step.
