No fluid panels available

Hello everyone,
I'm working on a model to simulate the flow in a condenser, so I have to create several materials: WaterLiquid, WaterSteam and Air. After creating the fluids they appear in the physics library. I'd also expect them to appear as a seperate panel in the Edit Domain window, when creating a new domain to specify their physics. But the only panels available are General Options, Fluid Models and Initialisation. Can anyone tell me why I can't access the material panels. Thanks in advance Andreas |

There is no materials panel. You can select your material on the General Options panel where it says "Fluids List".

Unfortunately I can't select the created materials cause they are not given in the fluid list, even if I open the Selection Dialog Box by clicking the ... icon. I checked all Fluid Domains for it. The fluids appear in the physics library and in the materials panel though.

The reason may be that you have not defined some crutial properties for the material like its viscosity/density/Cp/k
If the material is a solid and you want to use it in eulerian framework, you need to define the material as solid and also define its viscosity (1e-12 ) Regards, test |

thanks a lot. at least I can select it in the fluid list now. although i'm still confused why no seperate panel will appear in the edit domain window. in tutorial 9 on page 207-208 for example 2 extra tabs are supposed to appear after creating the matereals "sand fully couples" and "sand one way coupled". when i do the tutorial they are just not available.can anyone tell me why?

The extra panels appear for multiphase options if you select more than one fluid in the general options tab.

Thanks to Robin and test. You helped me a lot. After selecting all my created materials using the ctrl key everything is as I want it to be.
