Hi all, I need to plot CH4 concentration at outlet against time value in transient simulation. In CFX-chart i am not able to select locator. Can any one help me how to do this? How can we get Time value for each time step. In the documentation they explained only about time steps. Thank you.

Hi,
In Post, you can create an expression like areaAve(CH4 concentration)@outlet, and create a Chart (Chart tab: Type=Time ; Chart Line tab: Method=Expression)With this method you'll get the value of the expression just at the time instants when you have .trn files (this may be or not enough) If you create a Monitor Point (in Pre), in Solver you'll get the expression value at every time-step |

Hi Rui, Thank you. Its working in this way. I have one more question- Generally how can we get time value of each time step like any other variable(for eg. i could get velocity value for each time step using power syntax but couldnīt get time value). If you have any idea please let me know. Regards, Siv

Hi,
if you use charts in Post, then you can plot any value against the time, but not against time steps as far as I know. This is when you select 'time' in chart>type. Regards Tobias |
