Hi Everyone
Has anyone simulated fluid structure interection problem e.g. simulation of motion of a ship model in a wave tank, using MFX ? I was able to simulate flow around the shil hull in cfx very well (with out motion). The I thought of trying FSI. I have prepared two model, the ship hull in ansys and the fluid domain in cfx. When I try to start the simulation form ansys launcher (MFX -ANSYS/CFX environment) I get following error .. /COM,ANSYS RELEASE 10.0 UP20050718 16:41:57 02/28/2006 *** FATAL *** CP = 0.953 TIME= 16:42:05 The database (-db) space requested is not currently available. Reenter ANSYS command line with less database space requested. ************************************************** ********************** The above error is non-recoverable by ANSYS ANSYS run terminated by the indicated error Current data base saved if possible. ************************************************** ********************** /COM,ANSYS RELEASE 10.0 UP20050718 09:52:58 03/01/2006 *** FATAL *** CP = 1.000 TIME= 09:53:29 Fatal error notification received The reported error is Process CFX encountered the error: -11000. ************************************************** ********************** The above error is non-recoverable by ANSYS ANSYS run terminated by the indicated error Current data base saved if possible. ************************************************** ********************** Can anyone let me know what these errors are? Thanks in advance. Manoj |

Go to customization/preferences on ansys product launcher window....check the use custom memory settings.....reduce the total workspace & database both....its a trial & error method...for me it worked....for 32 bit windows xp platform make total workspace 400 MB & database 150 MB....i think it will work!!!!!

Hi, everyone.
I´m triying to simulate a FSI using MFX. I obtained next error: "Quadrilateral elements has negative or zero volume. Nodes on elements must be numbered counterclockwise" Do you know how i can solve this problem? Thanks. Alberto. |
