Hello,

Firstly my aim is to determine the effect of rudder transverse position on twin-screw boat maneuverability. In the attachment below, you can see a substracted volume. This volume expresses starboard side of a V-hull boat. I will move the rudder stock transversely and analyze the lift generation over various rudder angles.

For this purpose, I need to apply a propeller velocity effect in both Y and Z axises. I have these values; for the Y axis case, I need to multiply the free stream velocity with these values for each 10% of the rudder span.

I need to specify a vertical and horizontal domain on the rudder. In addition, imagine a matrice including vertical and horizontal propeller velocity values. For example, If the free stream velocity interacts with 50% of the rudder span, free stream velocity will be multiplied by required velocity values.

What kind of code should I write for this process? Do you know an example study similar to this study? I honestly don't know where to start or what to research.

First point: Your geometry appears to assume symmetry, but when the rubber is not straight the geometry is clearly not symmetrical. If you are modelling the rubber off centre you are going to have to model this with no symmetry.

Second point: How are you intending to model the propeller effect? What do you mean by "the free stream velocity interacts with 50% of the rudder span, free stream velocity will be multiplied by required velocity values"?

This appears to be a very unusual (and therefore probably wrong) way of modelling a propeller. Most propellers are modelled by a momentum source term which simply generates a pressure difference as a function of velocity through it.

Also note propellers generate significant swirl flow. How are you intending to include this in your model?

Your direct question appears to be how do I map a function over the plane of the propeller face. This is easily done with a CEL expression or interpolation function. But my previous points suggest that this is not what you really what to do.
