Hi

I simulated a radial pump impeller using vista CPD, Bladegen and meshing. I did the grid independency test (with smooth wall). But, when I simulate with wall roughness (0,26mm-cast iron), the head is praticly the same for smooth wall. I utilise the SST turbulence model. Does anybody can help me?

Thanks

You already have an answer -surface roughness has low impact on pump performance. Roughness is crucial for long channels, like piping system.
