Hi All
I am new to CFX, initially, I started with a 2D model in the design modeler and meshed it using Ansys mesh, but I had a problem while going to the setup tab it came up with the error as posted below, I thought inf CFX we can't deal with surfaces and later I just modeled the same with 3D( by considering smaller thickness) but still I am getting the same problem Can anyone of you help with this, please Error-1 An error occurred initializing CFX-Pre: Application error(s) occurred in CFX-Pre. Please see the messages view for further details. Error 2: Failed to export model. Error 3: There was a problem importing the mesh from the requested file. The importing process reported the following problem: Model "Model" does not have a valid mesh associated with it. Body B18 is an unsuppressed surface body that does not enclose a volume. Only 3D volume meshes can be imported. If your model contains valid bodies, as well as surface bodies, then suppress the surface bodies and remesh before continuing. |

You have to use a 3D body, not a surface body. CFX is a 3D only solver.

It is difficult to see the problem at the workbench level. Open up CFX-Pre and do the import and it will give you more useful messages (hopefully).

You also might post some images of geometry and mesh. There seems to be some fundamental error with the way the geometry is set up or something.

Hi all,
Thank you very much for your time I really appreciate it I got solved that problem, I made the surface bodies (which I created while drawing geometry) suppressed and tried to import, I worked Many Thanks |
