gabrodrigues is on a distinguished road
I'm running a simulation with around 2100 timestep. It's a simple 2D geometry for a flow over a cylinder.
I need to calculate the average Surface Nusselt Number over the cylinder surface for a certain period of time, so I about creating a transient chart and export it so I can have that data for the entire simulated time and then average it for the period of time I need.
However, when I try to create that chart, I'd have to specify my data source, which I thought it'd be be the circular surface, which I don't know how to specify and also when specifying my Y-axis value, I can only choose the Surface Nusselt Number, not the average value. Can anyone help me with that? I'm open for some other ideas as well.

You can do this in CFD-Post, but I find it is not the most flexible program for doing analysis like this so I tend to use specialised plotting packages like python/matplotlib, matlab or even MS Excel if that is all you have .

I would generate a monitor point defined as something like areaAve(HTC)@Cylinder, and rerun the simulation. Then you can export the data from the monitor point at every time step in Solver Manager (or the command line), and take the data into your chosen plotting package and plot it there.
