I would like to know how can I start using CCL in CFX. I had never used it and I would like to enhance my understanding of this software tool.

If someone has some example using CCL please send me as a tutorial.

Thanks a lot

Dear Norberto,

Do you mean CEL as in CFX Expression Language, or CCL (CFX Command Language) ?

They are two different languages with different purposes..

Rarely anybody needs to know how CCL works, but just replacing values on the RHS of a parameter..

For CEL, there are quite a few examples in the tutorials.

Opaque.

Dear Opaque

thanks a lot. I really mean CCL because I would like to manage CFX Post processing in background mode, not using GUI interface.

Nevertheless I have no enough experience with CFX so probably I could missunderstand the purpose of CCL.

Thanks again

Take care

Norberto

Dear Norberto,

I am sorry.. My comment was solver centric.. Yes, CFX-Post relies heavily on CCL.

Did you read the section ANSYS CFX-Post User's Guide/CCL and CEL in ANSYS CFX-Post..?

Dear Opaque

Yes, I read it but I did not find any example to clarify its usage. Do you have some example, tutorial or hands out using CCL ?

Thanks for your patience

Norberto

Finding on the forum I reached this post.

The necessity I have is the same.
I changed just the meshing (no Named selection or geometry), on CFX-pre did a new case, loaded the mesh and loaded CCL from previous simulation (configuration CFX-pre) but obtaining many errors!

What's the right procedure to use old CCL files? The ANSYS-guide reported here seems quite clear about it, but the long list of errors just changing the mesh seems to me unexpected.

If you change the meshing it has probably changed the name of the mesh blocks and boundary faces, which means all the definitions of domains and boundary conditions will be broken. It can be quite tedious to reconnect them all again. This is a good reason to use named selections for definitions in CFX-Pre so remeshing can be handled easily.

I have used the same named selection for outer surfaces.
The domain hasn't changed their name remeshing on Ansys-mechanical.

OK, I was just guessing as you did not tell us anything about what errors you received or what you did. So if you want us to help you then you better give us some information to work with - what error messages are you getting, how have you set it up, what are you modelling?

As soon as I'll get the same error (just refining the meshing and not changing geometry or named selections) I will report here the errors. It was a very large list.

Anyway my models include solid and fluid domains with flowing wet steam.
