I am simulating a swirl combustor and then I will validate it. But I do't want to complicate my geometry with the vanes of the swirl generator. So I am trying to simulate the inlet conditions with stating tangential and axial velocity profiles.
Does anybody know how to calculate these velocity profiles if the swirl number is given???? |

Hi,
Sounds like simple trigonometry to me. Look at the definition of swirl number and see how you go from there. Glenn Horrocks |
