Hi guys, I like to model a simple forced convection to evaluate cfx cs handcalc;

I have modeled a rectangular plate surronded by block of air.

I have defineda solid domain as Aluminim and fluid domain as air at 25 C.

I have defined inlet and outlet for air, and defined some heat load per volume on the solid domain .

now i want to make the solid-fluid intercation active.

so, I have defined a wall boundaries at the surfaec of my plate and the default option is set to adaibatic which ofcourase has to be other than adiabatic,

the other options ask for heatcoefiecnt or flux vaue which i do not know upfront somewher in the toturial they said u have o use flux conserved option when u have interaction betwwen solid and fluid like this case, but i can not find it

please help thanks

You need to define a "domain interface" at the solid-fluid boundary instead of a normal boundary condition. So delete your wall boundary and look in the help system to find how to place a domain interface there - it is easy.

Once you do that the only option for the thermal boundary will be the "flux conserved" option you are looking for.

Good luck Andy
