Hello to everybody,
I have been running a simulation with CFX 11 for one week and, for some reason I donīt know, I cannot access to CFX Post to save the results and stop the simulation but I know itīs still running. I would like to know if there is any way to stop the running without loosing the results. Perhaps killing it directly from DOS? Thank you in advance. |

You can use the CFX command cfx5stop to stop the solver after the current iteration using:
cfx5stop.exe -dir <directory_path_where_solver_runs> The path name of the current solver run usually looks like Name-of-Simulation_<Number-of-Run>.dir |

Thank you, Martin.
When I am in the directory path I write: cfx5stop.exe -dir Nameofsimulation_numberofrun.dir ŋIs it correct? |

You don't have to be in the directory. But better give the full path as argument to the -dir option...just in case there's another solver running

Create a file named "stp" inside the run directory (the one ending in .dir). Nothing in the file, no file extension, just name it "stp" and that's it.
