Liquid.dat for Cyclohexane (C6H12)

Hello

I am using a surrogate for diesel that has c-hexane as one of its species. I need to find out the physical and chemical properties of c-hexane (to insert in parcel simulation). I tried but can't find any good results so far.

Help from anyone will be much appreciated. Any links, papers, or if you already have a liquid.dat file for c-hexane.

Mohsin,

I checked the list of predefined liquids in CONVERGE Studio, and C6H12_Cyclohexane is available.

I see it in my Studio 2.3 and Studio 2.4 installations.

I have checked in v2.3 and couldn't find it. There is only Hexane and not Cyclohexane. Can you think of any possible solution for this?

Raza,

You should upgrade your Studio v2.3 installation. I have the July 21, 2017 build and C6H12_Cyclohexane is in there, but there's a September 1, 2017 build that probably has it as well. I couldn't tell you the build where the cyclohexane liquid properties first became available in Studio v2.3, but in general it's a good idea to keep your Studio installation up-to-date.

Hi Tristan,

I'm using methanol fuel and I was hoping to find the liquid data of methanol in the predefined liquids but unfortunately none of the studios (V2.3 and V2.4) provide it. Is there any chance that CONVERGE support group can provide me with this file? Thank you.

Please send an email to support@convergecfd.com requesting a methanol liquid.dat file. They can probably generate one for you.
